Last chance for 15 million electric vehicles by 2030
How a rapid transformation to electromobility can still succeed in Germany and why the involvement of Chinese car manufacturers plays an important role.
Preface
In this study, Agora Verkehrswende and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) used a comprehensive market model to analyse how the current framework conditions will affect the development of electromobility in Germany by 2030, which instruments could still be used to achieve the 15 million target for e-cars and what role Chinese manufacturers and import tariffs will play in this.
This report summarises and classifies the key findings of the study. The background paper ‘15 million electric vehicles by 2030’ provides documentation of the results. BCG worked on the study on behalf of Agora Verkehrswende.
