Scaling Power-to-X: Solutions to Financial and Market Barriers

The PtX Lab+ webinar series will look at the financial barriers, existing challenges and possible solutions needed to realise the potential of PtX.

The financial instruments currently available to support PtX projects will be analysed in this event. From the perspective of the financial sector and companies, we will find out why the instruments used today have not yet been able to sufficiently accelerate the ramp-up.

As the world transitions to renewable energy, Power-to-X (PtX) solutions are becoming increasingly important. They bridge the gap between renewable energy production and its application in sectors such as aviation, shipping, and the chemical industry. Power-to-Liquid (PtL) solutions are being explored globally, particularly for producing Sustainable Aviation Fuels (eSAF). Green ammonia production will be key for sustainable fertilizers in the agricultural industry while green hydrogen finds application in a great number of fields. However, scaling PtX projects faces significant financial challenges.

In this webinar series PtX Lab Talk+ the three organisations, International PtX Hub, PtX Lab Lausitz and Agora Verkehrswende, join forces to discuss with international experts the topic of market entry and finance for PtX. The webinars will address the financial barriers, existing challenges, and possible solutions needed to unlock the potential of PtX.

Our guest are:

  • Jan-Hendrik Petersen, Managing Director, 360 Asset Finance
  • Sebastian Dinh, Programme Manager Electricity-based Fuels, NOW GmbH
  • Megersa Abera Abate, Senior Transport Economist, The World Bank
